Rams defensive end Eugene Sims finds a temporary spot in Ventura County

One by one, members of the Los Angeles Rams organization are settling in to their new surroundings in Southern California. The latest? Defensive end Eugene Sims, who has leased a home in Ventura County.

It will be a short commute for Sims from his new home in the Oak Park area to the Rams' temporary training site at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, which will serve as a home base for the team for the next two years while a permanent facility is being built elsewhere.

The Rams are currently conducting off-season workouts in Oxnard at the site where theDallas Cowboys previously held their training camp, and will move to the Cal Lutheran campus later this year.

Partners Trust agent Lee Mintz, who arranged the lease for Sims, said none of her Rams clients are straying far from their transitional home.

“[They] are looking in Ventura County, Calabasas and as far east as Woodland Hills — all nearby where there training facility will be located,” said Mintz.

As for Sims’ new digs, it’s a Traditional-style home with classic curb appeal.

The vine-wrapped two-story, built in 2002, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in more than 3,200 square feet of space.

Glass doors off the main floor open to a covered patio with built-in barbecue. A swimming pool and spa complete the setting.

Sims, 30, was drafted by the Rams in 2010 and has spent his entire career with the organization. He signed a three-year, $10-million extension with the team last month.
